Makenzee L. Carpenter, 18, of Reedsburg, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born May 6, 1999, in Reedsburg, the daughter of Nikki Carpenter and Matthew Hesseling. Kenzee was a 2017 graduate of Reedsburg Area High School. She had an affinity for music, theater, family and friends. Survivors include her mother, Nikki (Ryan Meyer) Carpenter of Reedsburg; father Matthew Hesseling of Platteville; two sisters, Tailyr Carpenter and Kali Meyer; her grandparents, Mary Carpenter, Scott Carpenter and Mary Lu (Larry) Welch; great-grandmother Bernie Nefzger; three uncles, BJ (Teema) Carpenter, Jarret (Darcy) Hesseling and Jason Hesseling; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gary Hesseling; and great-grandparents, Robert and Irene Newman; George and Rosella Hesseling and Edward Nefzger. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Father Jason Hesseling officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the Makenzee Carpenter Memorial Fund has been established.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Julie A. Leuth, 42, of Platteville, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville, with the Monsignor Charles Schluter officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home, 1245 N. Water St., Platteville. Mrs. Leuth worked as the manager of Evergreen Mobile Home Park, Platteville, for seventeen years. She was born on Jan. 18, 1964, in Cuba City, daughter of William and Sandy (Frommelt) Hentrich. She married Mitch Leuth on Oct. 29, 1988, at the Platteville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, volleyball, scrap booking and spending time with her family. She was so proud to be the godmother of Jeremy Hentrich and Lydia Mack. Surviving are her husband, Mitch Leuth, of Platteville; a son, Cody Leuth, of Platteville; her mother, Sandy Hentrich, of Platteville; two brothers, Dan (Tracy Banfield) Hentrich, of Platteville and Jerry (Tana) Hentrich, of Woodford; a grandfather, Robert Frommelt, of Dubuque; her grandfather, Richard Walton, of Cuba City; a mother-in-law, Laurene Leuth, of Platteville; a sister-in-law, Deborah Faherty of Platteville; a brother-in-law, Steve (Donna) Leuth, of Stratham, N.H.; four nephews, Ryan, Jeremy, Chase and Derek; two nieces, Tadra (Richard) Mack and Shanna; a great-niece, Lydia Mack; and a special friend, Annie Adams. She was preceded in death by her father, William Hentrich, on July 3, 2005; a father-in-law, Eugene Leuth; two grandmothers, Julia Frommelt and Genevieve Walton; a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Leuth; and an uncle, Terry Hentrich.
